Hannah P - 3rd Female, Slateman Classic

Enjoying the great conditions for racing this weekend we have had BCT Athletes on the road again.

Over the border into Wales we had 3 athletes at the legendary Snowdonia Slateman, where the swim in the icy cold waters on Llyn Padarn is followed by a bike course heading up Pen y pass followed by a hilly trail run taking in a tough slate quarry. Hannah Pearson put her concerns behind her finishing 3rd in age on only her 3rd race and first at olympic ish distance. David Newport also finished 53rd at classic distance. Karen (the Hoff) Richards took on the new for this year Savage (half ish) distance coming home 27th.

Sam Palmer travelled off to Nottingham to race at sprint distance.

Nearer to home with a bit less climbing at Outlaw half Nottingham we had Mark Southall (ginge), Chris Brickwood, Ashley Kirkham, Gary Hickman and Jessica Beasley racing over the 70.3 distance with Jess finishing her first half distance event 2nd in age group. Great weekend for the BCT ladies

The Banks's Round the Wrekin sportive riders I trolled off the net included Matt Price, Louise Westbury, Paul Silk, Jo Acha, Pat Hackett, Cheryl and Tim Blewitt completed the Epic distance and Clare O'Kane, Carolyn Holles and Gary Bonner the standard distance.

Finally The Wall Heath group took on the Classic "Route De Petit Cols".  All the Daves were out in force Dave E, Dave H, Dave N, Josh S, Tim B, Steve B, Lee M and finally Ed H, all climbing around 6500 Ft of local hills.
